“Call it a day”: Dubois advises Fury to retire

IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois believes Tyson Fury should retire after losing to unified champion Alexander Usyk in their rematch last Saturday night in Riyadh.

Dubois isn't coming right out and saying it, but Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) looked old and faded after Usyk was schooled for 12 rounds. The Ukrainian talent was never to shift into second gear, outdoing Gypsy King in front of a deathly silent crowd at the Kingdom Arena.

After the fight, Tyson didn't say whether he would retire or not, but he will apparently return to the ring for both fights against Anthony Joshua in 2025. There is too much money for him to make in these Battle of Britain matches to discount that.

Tyson Fury's net worth is estimated to be $160 million and although he doesn't need to continue, he will surely add another $100 million+ to that total. There it is greed factor.

Dubois calls for retirement

“Fury has had a great career. I think it's time for him to end it,” Daniel DuBois told the Secondsoutreacting to a very old looking Tyson Fury getting beaten once again by Alexander Usyk last Saturday night.

It would be great if DuBois could send Tyson off in style by fighting him. This would allow the young talent to use the old lion to increase his star power. If the gypsy king wanted to be useful, he would let Dubois take his scalp.

Fury's fans were in denial about his loss, believing he had done enough to deserve the win. They are joking. He lost and looked terrible the entire time. He was beaten with three punch combinations by Usyk when he tried to hurt him late in the fight and did nothing else.

It's been YEARS since Fury has beaten a half-decent fighter. The last man with an iota of talent the Gypsy King defeated was Deontay Wilder in their trilogy match on October 9, 2021. This win is very much in doubt, considering that many believe that Fury was given long count in the fourth round when he was eliminated. Deontay isn't a great fighter, but this is Fury's best win in three years.

It was smoke and mirrors with Fury for years, with him being an underdog fighter and his gullible fans cheering him on, believing he was the best. He has been pulling the wool over their eyes for the last 14 years of his career and they are none the wiser.
