Crawford mocks Jervonta: 'Terrible' to fight Shakur and Keyshawn

Terence Crawford told X's Jervonta Davis to “stop being scared” and fight Shakur Stevenson and Keyshawn Davis. These two are close friends of Crawford's, so it makes sense that he would try to shame Tank Davis into fighting them.

Crawford's protégé

Keyshawn has no fans and looked awful in fights against Miguel Madueno and Nahir Albright. He shows no interest in fighting Cuban Andy Cruzwho beat him four times in the amateurs and made him look like a circus clown at the 2020 Olympics.

Tank won't help Crawford's gym buddy, Keyshawn. If Crawford wants to try to make his friend Keyshawn a star, he needs to give him some courage to face the conqueror Andy Cruz.

Crawford tries to get hold of Jervonta after smashing him on X, saying:

“You all really think he (Crawford) is chasing greatness. He is not. This is what he has to do to make decent money.

Tank Davis talks about Terrance chasing paychecks, not greatness against Canelo Alvarez in Saudi Arabia. It's more about Crawford's retirement money. If he really cared about his legacy, he would have moved up to 168 and proven himself first instead of begging for the fight.

Crawford tells fans his rationale for moving up two weight divisions to challenge unified super middleweight champion Canelo is for “legacy” purposes to become great, but Davis sees it as purely money-driven.

Bud's cup

Here's what Crawford has to do to make money because he can't sell. Crawford's last fight against Israil Madrimov reportedly brought in between 75,000 and 100,000 buys. Those are terrible numbers. Crawford was NEVER a PPV draw like Tank Davis.

Lightweight contender Keyshawn Davis (12-0, 8 KOs) shares the same gym with “Bud” Crawford. Both are trained by Brian 'BoMac' McIntyre.

The tank will not fight a boring Shakur Stevenson (22-0, 10 KOs) because he is not a marketable fighter and would be dead weight for the promotion. Jervonta would bring all the PPV buys and Shakur would just be there. Shakur is a boring fighter that people don't want to watch.

I still don't know why Eddie Hearn signed Shakur and thought he could make him a “global star”. That doesn't happen in the US

Maybe Hearne can make Shakur a star in the UK because their entertainment standards seem low. That's why fighters like Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr. are so popular there. They would never be stars in the US. You have to have talent to be a star in America.
