Will Shakur's glass arm hold up against Scofield?

Shakur Stevenson believes he is “the stronger fighter than Floyd Scofield after sparring with him in the last one. WBC lightweight champion Shakur's KO ratio is 45.5%.

Hand injuries

Stevenson (22-0, 10 KOs) says he's had hand problems throughout his career, which has limited his ability to land his punches. His glass hand continues to be a problem as he recently underwent arm surgery.

In a video posted of Shakur working out, he doesn't use his right arm. This is the one he was operated on. If Stevenson's arm breaks against Scofield, he will be helpless and unable to fight him off. He can't run his way to victory like he did against Edwin De Los Santos and rely on the judges to give him a win because he's the A-side.

“The only thing that makes him a threat is his awkward style. Its unusual rhythm, jumping and you just have to be prepared for it. But honestly, I'm on the level for his kid. So I'm going to show it,” Shakur Stevenson told Sean Porter channeltalking about Floyd Scofield.

“I think it's a delusion,” Shakur said when asked why fighters think they can beat him after sparring with him. “He didn't see anything when he was in the ring. He didn't come out of the ring and say, “I think I can beat him because he came out of the ring and said I'm the greatest fighter he's ever been in the ring with.”

If Shakur doesn't throw with power due to his fragile hands, it's understandable why his sparring partners believe they can beat him. If Scofield relies on what happened with his sparring with Shakur, it's understandable why he feels he can beat him. It's a logical conclusion anyone would reach after training with a fighter who favors a fragile, injury-prone arm.

“He DMed me and said, ‘Bro, you're better than anyone I've ever seen.’ He remembered how the sparring went,” Shakur said of his sparring with Scofield. “He remembered what happened, but I think today's fighters must be delusional. I think he is a misguided little kid and his father is misguided. They say that to promote themselves, but I read between the lines.

If Shakur couldn't sit on his punches due to arm issues, how can he call Kid Austin “delusional” for believing he can beat him. It makes sense that he thinks he can beat a no-hitter.

“I feel like I'm stronger than him. I don't feel him stronger than me. I think people confuse it with me having arm problems my whole career. I think, honestly, I'm a stronger fighter than him,” Shakur Stevenson said.

Shakur sounds delusional here, saying he thinks he's “stronger” than Schofield, because all you have to do is look at their past fights on YouTube, and you can convince yourself that Kid Austin is much stronger. a big blow.
