Fury & Joshua: Done? – Boxing News 24

Gareth A. Davis does not see Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury win another world heavyweight title before retiring. Joshua (28-4, 25 CO) has a better shot because of his strength, speed and willingness to continue to fight. At this point, AJ is the only one with any ambition to try to capture another world title.

Fury (36-2, 24 CO) withdrew shortly after his second defeat against Alexander Usik on December 21st. Many people see this as another of the short-lived false retirement of the 36-year-old Gypsy king, because he loves too much money and he will get bored to sit in his mansion by filling himself.

Joshua's next move

He worried Joshua chose not to take the immediate rematch with Daniel Dubua after losing a knockout from the fifth round on September 21. The longer AJ waits, the less likely he is to take a shot to avenge his loss in order to become a three-time heavyweight champion.

Promoter Eddie Hearn had said that Joshua had some injuries he wanted to recover from, but that was a little while ago and now it seems that he was waiting to see if Fury would be out of retirement. This is not reasonable because Fury can stay out of the ring as long as he has been fighting against Vladimir Klitschko in 2015.

“If he wins a shootout with Daniel Dubua, then he can win another world title again,” Gareth A. Davis said Second Asked if Anthony Joshua could ever win another world heavyweight title in his career. “It's hard to call. I would probably say no, as I don't think Tyson Fury will win another world title again.

“I think we are witnessing a security change. Daniel Dubois and Moses Itum is passing. Joseph Parker has his last few options. I don't see an appetite for these guys (Joshua and Fury) to continue two or three more matches. Maybe Fury just one more.

“He suffered a knockout in September by Daniel Dubua,” Gareth told Joshua. “He stated that he wanted to fight Daniel Dubua and Tyson Fury in 2025. I would love to see him have a few more matches, but I think Eddie Hearn mentioned that he was struggling with it. He fights the return.

The fight that should happen

Joshua must fight a stay to stay sharp as he waits to see if Fury returns to the ring in the summer. If he doesn't, AJ should take the rematch with Dubois if I still hold the IBF title. Daniel defends against Joseph Parker next month on February 22 in Riyadh.

“I don't think he has to move away right now. He has the opportunity to be in great battles. I think we need to see Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. This is a battle that ends the era. It would be a transvestite if the two did not meet, “Davis said.
