Hamilton, the most successful F1 driver of all time, had the incident while testing a car for a 2023 specification in Spain.

Lewis Hamilton crashes on the second day of Ferrari Formula Formula Formula at Barcelona at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya.

The world champion, seven times, who last week had the first test with his new team on their Fiorano track and is still adapting to his new environment after leaving Mercedes, was unharmed in the Wednesday's crash.

The incident happened when Hamilton lost control of his car in the last part of the chain, crashed in the barrier and damage the suspension and bodywork, Sky Italy reported.

The 40 -year -old Hamilton enters some tours behind the closed doors with teammate Charles Leclerk according to rules that allow a limited amount of run on the runway in the older F1 cars.

F1 tightly restricts teams to test current cars for specification, but the rules are freer for older models such as the SF-23, which Hamilton drives Wednesday in Spain. The official pre -season car testing for the new season begins in Bahrain on February 26 and will continue until February 28.

Hamilton will partner with Charles Leclerk of Ferrari, who has been without the driver's title since 2007, but hopes to change this in the 2025 season, which begins with the Grand Prix of Australia, scheduled from March 14 to March 16.
