The All-Star Guard will form one of the best combinations of 1-2 in San Antonio in San Antonio, uniting with Towering Center Victor Wembanyama.
The kings of Sacramento finalize a deal to send the San Antonio Spurs' All-Star De'Aaron Fox guard to Victor Wembanyama as part of the NBA's multi-team trade, ESPN reported.
The deal will see the security of Chicago Bulls Zack Laine to go to the kings, according to ESPN reporting on Sunday.
The kings were reported to have discovered trade negotiations for Fox last week after it became clear that the 27-year-old, who has another year under his contract, is not committed to staying long-term in Sacramento.
The spurs have emerged as a preferred destination and the move will unite Fox with the French star Wangnyama, which is an average of 24.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists and a remarkable 4.0 blocks per game.
The Spurs have added veterans to the young core led by the Workban this season, and the addition of Fox can improve the pressure of the end of the season, as well as provide a building block for the next few seasons.
Fox is in its eighth season in the NBA, all with Sacramento.
He went through five losing seasons with kings before reaching the playoffs in 2022-23, ending the longest drought after the season in the history of the NBA after failing to do so in 16 seasons.
But the kings failed to get out of the game last season and after a slow start this season, coach Mike Brown was fired in December.
This season, Fox is an average of 25.0 points per game and is second in the team in assists and third in fighting.
In addition to receiving Lavine from the bulls, the kings will receive the French 20-year-old Sidi Sisoko of San Antonio.
The deal will also be sent by Kevin Huerter, Zack Collins and Three Jones to the bulls and Jordan McLaughlin on the spurs, according to the athletic.
Lavine, two-time All-Star, enjoys a productive season on average 24.0 points per game while shooting 51.1 percent of the pitch.
The 20 -year -old Cissoko was the 44th common choice in the 2023 draft of The Spurs and only appeared in 29 NBA games.
