Palestinian Laboratory – EP 2 | Weapons

Exposing how Israel's military technology sales support state control around the world.

In Episode 2 of the Palestinian Laboratory, journalist and author Antony Lowenestein explores how surveillance and military technology developed by Israel and tested for the Palestinians are marketed abroad. He discovers how the latest Israeli technology is used to monitor refugees and migrants in Greece and along the US and Mexico border.

Loewenstein visits Mexico to explore the use of Israeli spyware and travels to India to find out how the thriving arms trade promotes close ties between the two countries. In South Africa, he reveals a hidden aspect of the history of the country, who saw secret relations between the Apartheid and Israel Government, focused on the secret trade in weapons and shared values.

What he reveals is a picture of how the “occupation technology” developed to the Palestinians is also used to subjugate people and the study of political dissidents, the defenders of human rights and journalists around the world.

LOEWENSTEIN is completing, asking if the countries that buy these systems are actually looking for more than another weapon, but instead buy a broader ideology of separation and control of the “unwanted” population, whether they are protesting against farmers, political dissidents or Refugees.
