Traveler Derek Chizor (36-13, 23 CO) says he wants to cause Olexander Usik for his three heavyweight titles then after his 12th round for a unanimous decision for a decision over #12-class IBF Otto Walin (27 -3, 15 COS) in the title of elimination for this belt on Saturday night at the Cooperative Live Arena in Manchester, England.
The results were 114-112, 116-110 and 117-109. Chisora received several knockdowns in the ninth and twelfth to get the victory.
Although commentators and fans of Co-Op Live Arena went crazy about the 41-year-old Chisora, he did not look impressive as someone evaluating the world title launched against USYK or IBF champion Daniel Dyubua. These would be pure discrepancies and it is not a good image to present in the sport. Chisora would be humiliated by one of these guys.
Magical magic
Tonight the match was for a match. Walin was well selected, checked carefully for weakness, and the ideal contender for the bottom of the bottom that Chisora could win. If Derek's promoters had compared him against a high quality fighter in the heavyweight ranking, such as Martin Bakol, Agit Cabayel, Jailie Jan, Moses Ita, or Joseph Parker, he would be knocked out by all of them.
I doubt Usik will humor Chisora for a shot from a world title because fans would drink it to choose cherries, which is Derek. Victory tonight shows what happens when the management chooses the perfect opponent for an old fighter over the hill to win.
“I'll sell Tottenham (in London). I will call Oleksandr (usyk) and see him we can do it, “Derek Chisora said at TALKSPORT BOXING For the request to provoke a WBA, WBC and WBO heavyweight champion, Alexander Usik at the end of the year after his victory over #12 ranks IBF's IBF Wallin Class Saturday night.
“Oleksandr usyk, yes. I think I won this battle (in 2020), “Chisora said when he asked him why he wanted to fight Usik again. “Do you want me to fight AJ? He will fight at the end of the year. So, we'll see what happens. It may not happen (Joshua). I want Oleksandr right now. “
