The tide in support sees left -wing contender Louisa Gonzalez neck and neck with acting President Daniel Noboa.
Solid President Daniel Noboa and left-wing contender Louisa Gonzalez are ready to leak the second round of Ecuador's presidential election, with preliminary results showing the neck and neck pair.
The National Election Board (CNE) has announced that with 80 percent of ballots from Sunday vote from the first round Talid, Noboa had 44.4 percent. Gonzalez follows carefully, providing better 44.1 percent.
The 14 other candidates in the race, dominated by an economy of consideration and a drug security crisis, have been far behind.
“If the trend is maintained, the Ecuadorians will return to the urn on April 13,” said CNE leader Diana Atamine at a press conference.

The performance of 47-year-old Gonzalez, a political protégé of former President Rafael Korea of the left-wing citizen of the Revolution, was a surprise led by a jump in support.
She told the admired supporters in Quito that the competition was a “statistical tie”, adding that they had achieved a “big victory”.
“We won,” she said.
The pre-election studies had provided a stronger result for Noboa, the 37-year-old son of a billionaire Banana Magno who Office 14 months ago to complete the mandate of his predecessor.
He hoped to collect 50 percent of the votes needed to avoid a race on the head.
Still, the supporters of the acting were cheerful on Sunday, illuminating fireworks in Kito and Guayakil, the two largest cities in the country.
“We have come to support the president, we want him to support and change the country,” said 52-year-old secretary Miriam Medo in Quito.
The competition is widely regarded as a referendum on the stagnant economy of the country and the iron of Noboa-or “Mano Dura”- crime approach Before the killing of the murder, the abductions and the blackmail led by the drug cartels.
Noboa has taken bold enforcement actions to descend violence, including declaring a state of emergency, and deploying the army on the streets.
Human Rights Groups claim that the aggressive use of the armed forces has led to abuse, including Killing four boys whose charred bodies were recently found near an army base.
On the day of the election, Noboa deployed highly armed soldiers in polling stations across the country and closed the borders with Colombia and Peru.

Noboa is also involved in a long -standing spit with its vice president, recently and how it can take the campaign leave.
This week, the Constitutional Court ruled an invalid two decrees that Noboa had taken the campaign leave in the first round of the election. This will probably complicate his ability to name a temporary vice president and a campaign before the expiration.
