After months of failures, the Sudanese army recently restored large territories from RSF in the Big Hardrum area. The army said it also managed to regain control in the United States, Senar, and also exposed the strategically important city of Umm Ru was in northern Cordofan, thus providing important delivery routes.
However, RSF still retains the upper hand in the western regions of Western Cordophanes and starving, where the United Nations organized RSF on Monday, blocking RSF in blocking help.
“Sustainable restrictions and bureaucratic obstacles” imposed by the RSF humanitarian agency “prevent life-saving help from reaching desperate needs,” said Clementine Nkveta-Salami, Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan.
The Foreign Ministry called on the UN International Community, in particular, the African Union and the Arabian League-to support its strategic post-war plan because “it is a national consensus for restoring peace and stability in the country and meeting the democratic transition requirements.”
The conflict in Sudan began in April 2023 and included bloody battles between the army led by Abdel Fatah Al Burhan and RSF, led by his former deputy Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo.
UN said they were more than 12 million people displaced or escaped in neighboring countries to escape from the fighting.
