SmashingBreaking,
The termination of fire is called into question as Hamas claims that Israel violates key provisions of the agreement.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened to resume the war against Gaza, unless Hamas releases the captives until Saturday.
The termination of the fire was called into question after Hamas officials said Israel had violated key provisions of the agreement, which prompted him to cancel the release of three more captives on Saturday.
“If Hamas does not return our hostages by Saturday at noon, the armistice will end and the IDF (the Israeli army) will return to intense fighting, until Hamas is finally defeated,” Netanyahu said in an X.
Hamas says Israel's disruption to end the fire has reached the point that it will no longer withstand the end of the deal – and will delay the release of an upcoming batch of Israeli captives indefinitely.
“The resistance management is monitoring the enemy's violations and their failure to comply with the terms of the agreement … Meanwhile, the resistance has fulfilled all its obligations,” Abu Naparie, a spokesman for Hamas's armed wing, said on Monday.
Netanyahu in a series of tweets on Tuesday accused Hamas of breaching the fire termination agreement and added that he had ordered the Israeli army to “accumulate forces inside and around the Gaza Strip.”
So far, as part of the agreement, Hamas has released 21 captives in a series of exchanges for hundreds of Palestinians held in Israeli prisons.
The United States President Donald Trump said Israel should cancel the whole ceasefire if all approximately 70 hostages are not released until Saturday, threatening that if Hamas does not comply, “all hell will fall apart.”
Currently, Trump hosts King of Jordan Abdullah II in the White House, as he escalates the pressure on the Arab nation to absorb the Palestinians, he plans to force Gaza as part of his boldness.
At least 48 219 Palestinians were killed by Israeli attacks against Gaza since October 2023 and 111 665 injured, according to the Health Ministry of Gaza.
The Gaza Government Office updated the death rate to at least 61 709, as many extinct persons are now supposed to be dead.
