The unknown government has condemned attempted murder aimed at State Minister for Cabinet Adele Dzhumaa.

State Minister of Libya on Cabinet Ael Juma was wounded after an attack on weapons in the capital.

Observer of Libya and Agency Anadolu announced on Wednesday that unknown artillerymen opened fire on Juma's vehicle in Tripoli, leaving him wounded in his feet.

The report says Jumaa was taken to a hospital for an emergency surgery after the attack.

No group has yet taken responsibility for the attack.

In a statement, the government of national unity condemned the attack, saying that Juma's condition was “stable”.

He added that the security agencies had launched an investigation “to track the perpetrators and disclose the circumstances of the incident”.

“The government stressed that it would not tolerate any attempt to undermine the security and stability of the state, confirming its commitment to take all necessary measures to guarantee the safety of officials and citizens,” the government said.
