Heavyweight Champion Daniel Duboa retires from boxing with Joshua Parker in Saudi Arabia due to illness.
World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Dubua has withdrawn from the title defense on Saturday against Joseph Parker after getting sick.
The 27-year-old, who holds the title of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), has undergone a medical examination in Saudi Arabia and missed a press conference on Thursday night, causing the decision to withdraw overnight. Details of his healthy status have not been released.
“If he is sick, I hope to get better soon and look forward to a Saturday and a great show,” said Parker, who will now face the replacement of a Congoan fighter at the last moment Martin Bacol.
Born in Britain Dyubua took the temporary belt in June by defeating Philip Hrgovic and was upgraded to a champion When Alexander Usik released the title because of his rematch clause with Tyson Fury.

Duboa then defended his title in September with Knockout Over the colleague British Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium in London.
Former World Champion Parker, 33, claimed the heavyweight title of World Boxing (WBO) in 2016, defeating Mexican Andy Ruiz. He lost the Joshua title in 2018.
Bacol was “on the way” in Saudi Arabia from the Democratic Republic of Congo, heavyweight promoter Ben Shalom told Sky Sports in England.

Promoter Frank Warren confirmed at a press conference on Thursday in the Saudi capital Riyadh that the non-shout of Dyubua is due to a medical examination.
“Unfortunately, at this point, in time, Daniel is evaluated by a doctor and when we have more news, we will share it with you and update you,” Warren said at the press conference.
The first defense of the Dyubua-Brutal knockout title of the fifth round of Joshua-Bezhe was placed in front of a record 96,000 fans in the English capital.
The main attraction on Saturday is the rematch between the world heavyweight champion Arthur Beterbiev and Dmitry BivolS
Betherbiev became the undisputed champion after a controversial point for points over buffalo in October.
