At least one person died and two police officers were seriously injured in a pierced incident in the eastern part FranceAccording to local media reports, the alleged perpetrator was taken to the police.
The incident took place shortly before 4:00 pm (15:00 GMT) during a demonstration on Saturday in Mulkhaus, the French channel BFM TV said on Saturday, citing the local prosecutor's office.
A passerby was killed, trying to intervene while three police officers were injured, the prosecutor's office added.
The National French Prosecutor's Office Unit (PNAT) has taken responsibility for the investigation. Police officers have created a security parameter at the accident, and the military units were also sent as reserve. Criminologists also began to seek evidence.
Mulkhaus Prosecutor Nikolai Hitz told the AFP news agency that the suspect, 37, is on a monitoring list of Terror Prevention, called FSPRT. It started in 2015 after deadly attacks on Charlie Hebdo's satirical magazines and on a Jewish supermarket.

As the investigations continue, Pnat added that he was recording the piercing for murder and trying to kill “in connection with a terrorist enterprise.”
