Parker's coach calls for a USYK battle, but is it worth it?

Coach Andy Lee wants to fight the title for Joseph Parker against WBA, WBC and WBO champion Olexander Usick after his victory in the second round against Martin Bakol last Saturday night in the place in Riyadh.

It is understandable why Lee is pressing about the USYK's fight for Parker because it is a big day to pay for him. He will not fight afterwards. Bacol's victory is not enough for Parker to hit his ticket to fight Usik.

Bakole: A senseless victory

Lee believes that the victory for Parker (36-3, 24 CO) above 310-foot, outside the form of a bachelor (21-2, 16 CO), was all that Joseph had to get a title. Bacol was in two days of notice and was about 30 pounds overweight.

It does not seem that Parker will receive a title, as there is talk of Usik (23-0, 14 CO), facing IBF champion Daniel Dublos. Usik called Dubua last Saturday night, saying he wanted the next one.

This is a better battle for the fans, as Daniel is coming out of a big victory in the fifth round of Anthony Joshua. There is also a dispute over the first USYK-Dubois match.

Parker is not so far from a shot for the title. He just has to beat someone solid to change, someone is not ancient or rude out of shape. The other recent Parker's victories faced these fighters: Zhilei Zhang, Deontay Wilder and Simon Kean. This is not a solid group for him to deserve a title launched against Usik.
