Ryan Garcia detonates Gervonta Davis, accuses “one leg mentality” for unequal performance

Ryan Garcia says that the uncomfortable performance of Gervonta Davis against Lamont Roach last Saturday night is the result of his planning for retirement soon and is not mentally directed at how difficult it is to be a motivated fighter.

The WBA Lightweight Champion tank escaped with a 12-round majority draw, but many fans thought it had lost. Ryan believes he should have been put in the ninth round when Davis (30-0-1, 28) took a knee. He accused him of the fat of the hair, entering his eyes.

One foot outside

Garcia says that if the gervanta escapes with a knee -like, without taking a point, other fighters will do the same and blame him for some physical problem. This will “kill the momentum” of their opponent and they can return to the battle.

Ryan does not buy the technical problem, which seems to prevent the New York committee from reviewing the ninth round without a call when the tank took a knee. He points out that the repetition is shown in the arena.

“This happens when you have one foot in one foot out (in retirement) before you step into the ring,” Ryan Garcia said IFL TV Around Saturday night, the battle of Gervonta Davis against Lamont Roach in Brooklyn. “To get to this third or fourth equipment you will need, especially when you are this person, this other person will want it ten times more.”

Tank had said he was entering the match, that he would retire in three matches. He specifically chose the Roach, not one of the 135-Funt Division. Fans saw that as Davis in his retirement tour, choosing a bit -defense to ensure that he is coming out of the game without losing.

“So when one leg comes out, you will enter the ring and have a moment where you know you will have to strengthen it and it just won't come. I think this happened – Garcia continued why Tank was fighting for a rach.

Davis would have problems with Roach, even if he did not plan to retire. He fights only with spurs and a man who is made to order for a rook that is smart. He studied the battles of Davis, who came in and realized that he was someone who could overtake. That's what he did.

Refusal

“100% this should be ordered by a knockdown (in the ninth). I like Tank Davis, but these are the rules. You cannot take such a knee. He knew that. He says he didn't, but he did it. On top of that, there was no way in hell had technical problems. They showed the repetition of the arena. There is no technical problems.

“I think they have to do something about it because it gives an incentive to other boxers,” I'll take a knee when something bothers me. I hurt my hand a little. I hurt my elbow a little. Make some S *** and go back to the battle. When you kill the other person's inertia, come back and fight. They have to do something or you will have many boxers who make some strange ***, “Garcia said.
