Oscar de la Hoya promoter raises the question of whether Devin Hani can return from the brutal twelve rounds of punishment, which he endured in his fight against Ryan Garcia last April. The 1992 Olympic Gold Medalist, de la Hoya says that when fighters are beaten as heavy as hani (31-0, 15 ko) is, “You are not recovering” To be the same.

Oscar predicts that Hani will break up in his next match against Jose Ramirez on May 2 at The Fatal Fury Card on the Times Square in New York, long before he and Ryan fight in October. If what De la Hoya is true of Hani must defeat Ramirez (29-2, 19 CO) to get the lucrative rematch with Kingri, the second match will not happen.
Turks Alalshi, however, will have to be ready to make the Garcia rematch against Haney 2 at less than favorable conditions. Maybe you would. If this match is just for fun, not for sports, it doesn't matter if Hani is blown up by the water by former WBC and WBO Light Welterweight Ramirez.
Completing the rest
Just move forward and throw Hani with Ryan anyway and enjoy the show. I already expect Ramires Complete what is left of Devin On May 2, what Garcia began last April. Ramirez works for three minutes in each round without taking a break, as Ryan does, and if he hurts Hani, it's a game. He will not take the rest of the circle to catch his breath.
“Come from the point of view of the fighter, when you get out of the devastating loss of Ryan Garcia, it is difficult to return from something like that,” said Oscar de la Hoya to Fight Hub TVAsked whether Devin Hani would be the same fighter after the twelve rounds he took against Ryan Garcia in 2024.
It is obvious why Hani did not fight after his loss to Ryan last April. He probably hopes that the vacation of the year will let his head cure from those who punish left hooks with which he has been hit for twelve rounds. In the background, Bill Hani had to take Devin out of the match after the seventh round because it was a lost cause. He was helpless after this round, used as a punch bag for Ryan, who enjoyed his pouring on his beaten enemy.
“When you hit, when (jose) Ramirez acquires a blow or two or three, he (hani) will return differently than before fighting Ryan or after fighting with him? So the psyche is interesting when he is struck, how he hit, how he recovers, or maybe he does not recover.
“There is a big difference to hit once, to take a knee and to return. Then hit, shake, hurt yourself and fight. There is a big difference in this, “said de la Hoya, talking about what happened to Hani in his battle with Ryan. “You don't recover from this. It's hard.
“Look, this will still be a good fight. He took a year of rest, resting his body, mind and soul. Maybe he will surprise us, ”De la Hoya told Devin.
