NASA says a start will be reworked to lead home astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams on Friday.
Elon Musk's SpaceX delayed the mission to replace two astronauts stuck aboard the International Space Station (ISS) after a last -minute technical problem.
Delaying the launch on Wednesday means that NASA Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams astronauts will have to wait at least two more days before they start returning to Earth.
Wilmore and Williams arrived at the ISS in June for a mission that had to endure 10 days, but the couple was forced to extend their stay after their Boeing Starliner spacecraft developed drive problems.
It is planned to return Wilmore and Williams to the ground aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, which is currently being moored on ISS after a team of American, Japanese and Russian astronauts arrives to take their place.
NASA said in a statement that launching on Wednesday at the Kennedy Space Center was worn due to a problem with the hydraulic system with a Falcon 9 missile clamp.
The space agency said it works to deal with the problem of the hydraulic system and plans to eliminate the start on Friday.
The team of the crew-10 consists of NASA astronauts Ann McClain and Nicole Ayers, Japan Takuya Onishi and Kiril Peskov in Russia.
If the mission continues on Friday, Wilmore and Williams can leave the ISS until March 19, according to NASA.
Calling with reporters earlier this month, Williams said he was looking forward to reuniting with his family.
“It was a train for them, probably a little more than for us,” Williams said. “We are here, we have a mission – we just do what we do every day, and every day is interesting because we are in space and it is a lot of fun.”
