Near the Presidential Palace in the capital of Somalia, Mogadishu, was reported in an explosion, minutes after President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud's fork was past. An unknown number of casualties is reported. Al-Shabab, linked to al-Qaeda, an armed group took responsibility for the attack.
