The US President refers to military forces to strengthen the production of rare lands and other critical minerals.
The United States President Donald Trump said his administration would signal the rarely earthly deals with Ukraine “very soon” after citing military forces to strengthen the internal production of critical minerals.
In an address to the White House on Thursday, Trump said his administration was creating agreements at “different places” to gain access to rare earth minerals used in the production of electronics, batteries and magnets, among other items.
“One of the things we do is sign a deal very soon with regard to rare lands with Ukraine … They have enormous value in rare lands and we appreciate it,” Trump said.
Trump made the remarks shortly after the signing of an enforcement order directing federal agencies to identify mini and state lands that can be used to strengthen the production of critical minerals.
The order refers to the powers contained in the Law on Defense Production, the Korean Age Law of the War, which provides Washington, which encompasses the power to mobilize industrial resources in the service of national security.
The US and Ukraine had to sign a deal providing access to Washington to Kiev's natural resources, while the public breakup between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last month did not derail the plan.
Zelenski said earlier this month that His government was “ready to sign” a rare deal on the ground Despite the tense exchange with Trump in the White House, but he wanted the “Ukrainian position” to be heard.
Trump has pushed Kyiv to Washington Grant Access to Natural Resources As part of his administration's efforts to put an end to the war in Ukraine.
Zelenski on Wednesday said Kiev had agreed to the US proposal to pause the attacks on energy infrastructure, the day after Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted the plan.
In his remarks in the White House on Thursday, Trump said his administration Efforts to achieve a peaceful deal went “pretty well“.
“So hopefully we can observe thousands of people a week from dying. That's all that is about,” he said.
“They die so unnecessary.
