The civil case of five black women sets a legal precedent in the United States in the fight against organized hatred.
A group of black lawyers use a little known law to win a case that is thought to have been lost. The victory has made a legal precedent that is still used in US courts today.
Five black Chatanuga women were shooting firing by KU KLUX KLAN members in 1980. While the penalty courts issued a slight sentence to the shooter and allowed two of the men to walk, women were adamant to hold the white supreme group of responsibility for their crimes. Using legal ingenuity, the lawyers and the women's group created a KLAN file plan and lead to community justice.
How to judge the clan is a documentary by John Board.
