Hani “concerned about hitting” after losing Garcia

The Eddie Hearn Match Promoter confirmed today what many fans have already suspected of Devin Hani: He is “Concerned about the impact” After his fight against Ryan Garcia.

Hearn states that Devin's father, Bill Hani, worries about “the resistance to his son's impact.” So, he expects Hani (32-0, 16 CO) to be in motion to avoid shots in his battle for the title against the champion of the wandering category Brian Norman, Jr. (28-0, 22 KO) on November 22, 2025, because it is a big blow with power in both hands.

Hearn says he does not think Devin will run by Norman Jr., as he did against Jose Ramirez earlier this year on May 2. He believes this is just a one -off situation where Hani was to be cautious, since on April 20, 2024 he was hurt many times in his previous match against Ryan Garcia on April 20, 2024.

“Devin and Bill (Hani) are more concerned about the impact, which is a really bad situation when you fight, especially when fighting with someone who is a sharp blow,” said the promoter Eddie Hearn to mediaS

It is not clear why Devin would not run even more against Norman Jr. than against Ramirez. It makes no sense to suddenly fight aggressively against a far more strike than Ramirez in his clash against Norman Jr..

It is logical that you have to accept that Devin will work nonstop for the full 12 rounds, becoming a classic example of a Jerry-Eska-style battle. It would not be in the best interest of Hani to do so, because Turks Alalshi will be among the audience and he obviously pays him well. Fans may not be hooked because the event is in Riyadh, but the people watching the event on the dazn PPV at home in the US will be furious to pay to see this type of performance.

“He is the son of Bill and Bill does not want him to hit. And they are concerned about his resistance. This is the truth. And if you are concerned about the resistance of your impact, I think this is a dangerous game. So Devin will get on his bike against Brian Norman and he will try to outstrip him, “Hurn told Hani.

With Norman's punch, he will not help Hani run around the ring, hoping he wouldn't hit. He will reach him often enough to land his bombs, which will be more difficult than those with whom Ryan has repeatedly released Hani.

Norman Jr. has power in both hands, not just in his left. However, this will be the hand that Norman should focus on using because Devin has shown that he cannot block the left hook of Garcia. He hit him all night.

Hani's habit of behaving excessively will put him in drilling the range of Norman Jr. when he reaches his hand to catch him in a clinch. So Kingri managed to hit him. He just waited for Devin to dive forward to hold and watch him.
